SWK Team Attends Conference to Recruit Foreign Direct Investment

Hendricks serves on panel of experts

 

The South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council (SWK EDC) team recently returned from the Transatlantic Business and Investment Council’s annual conference in Chicago, Illinois.  The conference brings together experts and real estate consultants specializing in helping European companies identify, secure, and invest in U.S. locations.

“I was thrilled to attend this prestigious conference representing our three-county region.  We are honored to showcase the many great things about Christian, Todd, and Trigg Counties with an international audience.  We are proud of our region and always excited to share it!”

The SWK region boasts 24 international companies representing 12 unique countries.  With the region’s geography and proximity to several major markets, proven workforce, reliable utilities, low cost of doing business, and award-winning quality of life, the three-county SWK is well positioned to continue recruiting and supporting companies from the United States and abroad.

Additionally, the SWK team was invited to participate in a panel focused on utilizing data to help companies with their site selection and investment decisions.  “We were excited to play a major part in this year’s conference and to be asked to serve on a panel as part of the program.   We will continue to follow up with our contacts and relationships to identify, recruit, and secure the next company’s investment in our region and state,” shared Carter Hendricks, Executive Director, South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council.
