South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council Announces EZ-ACCESS is Locating in Christian County, Creating 79 Jobs

The South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council is excited to announce that EZ-ACCESS will be starting manufacturing operations at 2230 Pembroke Road, Hopkinsville, in Christian County in late summer 2021, creating 79 jobs and over $5 million in capital investment.

This move is an expansion of their existing operations in Washington State, allowing the company to be closer to their locations in Morganfield and Henderson, Kentucky. Additionally, the company will relocate several corporate positions to the new location in Hopkinsville.

Mayor Wendell Lynch commented, “The City of Hopkinsville is honored to work with EZ-ACCESS and its company leadership. As we’ve gotten to know their team and company culture, we have become even more excited to work with our SWK EDC and the company to make this happen.  I am particularly proud of the willingness of our City Council and Fiscal Court as we continue to rise to the challenge to ensure we are competitive in economic development.”

EZ-ACCESS, a division of Homecare Products, Inc., is a national leader in manufacturing ramps and lifts for wheelchair and accessibility solutions for individuals with physical limitations.  A family-owned company, EZ-ACCESS was founded in 1984 in Washington state.  With success over the years, they have continued to expand and added locations in Morganfield and Henderson, Kentucky in 2009 and 2019, respectively.

Don Everard, President/CEO of EZ-ACCESS, stated, “We are very excited to be making this investment in Hopkinsville and the South Western Kentucky region.  We aren’t just creating 79 jobs and growing the company; we are also investing in the community and look forward to becoming an active member and leader of Hopkinsville and the broader South Western Kentucky region.”

With the 79 jobs and over $5 million in investment, the company is positioning their EZ-ACCESS brand for future growth and success.  As a community-minded business, company leadership is also committed to hiring locally and to working closely with transitioning military.

Everard continued, “We always look to hire local because we want to benefit the communities in which we invest.  With our Hopkinsville location, we are also eager to work with Fort Campbell on the many programs that are available to Veterans and military family members.”

Christian County Judge Executive Steve Tribble shared, “On behalf of Christian County Fiscal Court and the residents of Christian County, we are thrilled that EZ-ACCESS has chosen to make this significant investment and create 79 good paying jobs in our region.  We welcome them to our region with open arms and look forward to working closely with our partners to ensure that EZ-ACCESS has a great start to their operations and enjoys success in our community for generations to come!”

SWK EDC staff will be working closely with the company’s leadership to ensure as smooth a transition as possible. Once the facility retrofit is completed, a public ribbon cutting will be held to celebrate the company’s operations in the community and region!
