The South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council (SWK EDC) is excited to announce that the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) has approved a $1M grant for major improvements at the Interstate 24 Business Park which will continue to enhance the opportunity at the official Gateway to Land Between the Lakes.
The grant, through the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development and administered by the Kentucky Association for Economic Development, will allow the Cadiz-Trigg County Industrial Development Board to install a sidewalk on International Drive servicing Wabash, Load Covering Solutions, and future clients, develop an access road to the park’s internal acreage, relocate a stormwater detention basin, and initial grading for future plans.
Sharon Butts, Associate Director for the SWK EDC, stated, “We are thrilled to receive these important funds as we work to ensure our communities are ready to support company investment and growth. With these much-needed improvements, we are confident we’ll continue to see interest in the park and our region.”
The South Western Kentucky region continues to grow with 75 manufacturers and industries representing 12 different countries now calling the region home.
“The I24 Business Park 100,000sft shell building is the highlight of the park and drawing strong interest. With these additional park improvements, we know that the right company will soon find their new Kentucky home in Trigg County, Kentucky.”
