The South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council (SWK EDC) is excited to co-sponsor the July 15th Salute to Workforce and Industry night at the Hoptown Hoppers. First pitch is at 6:30pm at Christian County High School’s home field. The Hoppers, a wooden bat collegiate summer league baseball team, will face their I-169 rivals, the Madisonville Miners.
This event will feature FREE attendance and special acknowledgement of our regional industries and the workforce that helps manufacture and produce items that reach all corners of the globe. Hopkinsville Community College’s HOPFAME program will also hold its ceremonial class signing providing additional manufacturing training to those interested in a variety of manufacturing related fields.
Hopkinsville Community College’s Lea Martin shared, “We are thrilled to co-sponsor this special evening to showcase our industry and workforce partners while celebrating the people that make our region so special. We’re counting on the Hoppers to provide us an entertaining and successful night like they do every game. This is going to be an awesome night!” Special game features will include food trucks, door prizes, and in-game activities.
All regional industries are encouraged and invited to attend as is the general public. This special Hoppers game is proudly co-sponsored by Hopkinsville Community College, HOPFAME, and Higgins Insurance.
