Crofton Wood Products Expanding Operations in Elkton, KY
Locally owned company investing nearly $1M in Toddy County Creating 10-15 New Jobs
The South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council is pleased to announce that locally owned Crofton Wood Products (CWP) is investing in its Elkton location. According to the company’s Kentucky Business Incentive application, recently approved by the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA), the company plans to invest nearly $1M in improvement and facility upgrades to accommodate for new growth and creating 10-15 new jobs.
City of Elkton Mayor Arthur Green stated, “The City of Elkton is thrilled to support CWP’s reinvestment and effort to create 10-15 new jobs in our community. This project is another major investment and opportunity for our residents and businesses. We are appreciative of the support from Governor Andy Beshear, the Cabinet for Economic Development, and our local and regional partners.”
Owned by Mr. Tyler Kirkman and founded in 1993, CWP is a leading manufacturer of wood products for the interior design and framing industries. “Due to recent customer demand and growth, CWP is positioning itself to continue to meet our growing customer demands while reinvesting in the community we love,” shared Mr. Kirkman.
Todd County Judge Executive Todd Mansfield also shared, “I eagerly support this project and appreciate Mr. Kirkman’s reinvestment in Todd County as he creates more jobs for the region. We are proud of our county’s growing manufacturing sector and yet another example of how industries succeed in South Western Kentucky.”
