Christian County Public Schools Fusion Work-Based Learning Program is pleased to announce that there are approximately 90 incoming high school seniors approved to participate in work-based learning for the 21-22 school year. All students are at least 17 years of age and a concentrator in at least one of the following career and technical education areas:
• Agriculture
• Allied Health
• Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair
• Biomedical Science
• Business
• Computer Science
• Culinary Arts
• Electrical Construction
• Engineering (Aerospace, Civil, and Mechanical)
• Family and Consumer Services
• Graphic Design
• IMT-Maintenance Machinist
• Pre-Nursing
• Welding
We are looking for employers interested in employing highly motivated high school seniors, part-time. Participating in Fusion not only helps the students learn the world-of-work in their area of concentration, but it also benefits the employers and the community. This is an opportunity for employers to reduce training costs by partnering with CCPS to help train student employees in work-related skills. Employers receive assistance in selecting qualified personnel through the Fusion application process. Ultimately, by participating in Fusion’s WBL Program, employers are helping the community in “growing our own workforce” for Hopkinsville/Christian County.
If you would like to be added to the Fusion Cooperative Education (Co-op) List, please complete the Fusion Cooperative Education Employer Interest Survey. The information collected from the survey will be added to a list of potential co-op employers that we will share with our co-op applicants.
