Cadiz-Trigg County, Kentucky Breaks Ground on 100,000SF Shell Building at I-24 Business Park
12/02/2022

The South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council (SWK EDC) hosted a groundbreaking at the Interstate 24 Business Park in Cadiz, Kentucky for a 100,000 SFT speculative building. The 100,000SF building, to be built-out by client, features 38ft eaves, 12 dock bays for build out, 1 drive-in, floor ready for 8-inch slab, corporate corner office suite, and room for expansion on a 15-acre site with additional acreage available and adjacent.
The 100,000SF shell building is being financed by the Trigg County Industrial Development Board through grants and private financing. Hartz Contracting is the general contractor with private financing through Bank of Cadiz, Planters Bank, and United Southern Bank.
The Interstate 24 Business Park features all utilities, less than ½ mile to Interstate 24 at Exit 65, a young, diverse and growing workforce, and a low cost of doing business, taxation, and living. An outstanding quality of life is bolstered by the region’s natural beauty and outdoor recreation as the home of Land Between the Lakes and Kentucky’s #1 tourism attraction at Lake Barkley.
The workforce is powered by the region’s claim as the Home of Fort Campbell and the approximately 500 soldiers that leave the military each month looking for opportunities in the region. With low taxes, less congestion and access to natural beauty and recreation, it’s easy to see why the site and region benefit from being less taxing and more relaxing.
The SWK EDC serves as the strategic partner responsible for marketing, promoting, and recruiting companies to the property. Strategies may include direct marketing, tradeshow attendance, social media marketing, email marketing, and lead generation. A dedicated page and 24/7 construction camera will soon be added to www.southwesternky.com so the public can track the progress and success of this project.
