The hub for quality healthcare in Southwestern Kentucky is the Jennie Stuart Medical Center, or JSMC. It’s an acute care, 194-bed facility that proudly celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2014. JSMC’s primary service area is our three county region. There is a full range of services available, from diabetes education to advanced emergency care.
The medical center has more than 100 physicians on staff representing 33 medical specialties. Key departments include a 24-hour Emergency Center, Intensive and Coronary Care Centers, the E.C. Green Cancer Center, several Surgery Centers and a Wound Healing Center. There is also a Convenient Care Center for non-emergencies.
Other JSMC services range from maternity to pediatrics to outpatient care. Baptist Health operates eight satellite clinics in the region. These offer walk-in care with extended hours during evenings and weekends. From simple to the most sophisticated, South Western Kentucky has the full spectrum of quality medical care available.
