March 2017 - TGASK Announces $7.5M in Facility Upgrades & Employee Training

With a nearly $.75 million investment, TG Automotive Sealing Kentucky LLC (TGASK) plans to install an air-conditioning system, add new manufacturing lines and provide employee-training programs at its Hopkinsville operation.  "This is a great investment by TG Automotive Sealing Kentucky, and will strengthen their ability to compete for new business as well as enhance opportunities for their employees," said Gov. Bevin.  "The emphasis they place on improving working conditions, securing new contracts and raising employees' skill levels sets them apart and reflects our vision of establishing Kentucky as the hub of excellence in engineering and manufacturing."

 

January 2017 - US Smokeless Tobacco Announces $40M Investment

Brian Quigley, President & CEO of US Smokeless Tobacco Company, and Governor Matt Bevin today announced a combined $40 million additional investment in Hopkinsville's two US Smokeless Tobacco facilities. The employee-centric ceremony was held at the company's Commerce Park location.  US Smokeless Tobacco Company manufactures smokeless tobacco under the brand names: Copenhagen, Skoal, Red Seal and Husky. The company employs more than 280 people in the region and acquires much of their tobacco from farmers in the Southern Kentucky and Middle Tennessee region. 

 
January 2017 - Freudenberg Announces $2M Investment

Freudenberg Filtration Technologies opened a new $2 million high-tech, highly-automated line today in a ceremony attended by local elected officials, European management, and employees. Freudenberg Filtration Technologies is part of the Freudenberg Group and is headquartered in Weinheim, Germany.  The company is a global technology leader and a driving force in the field of air and liquid filtration. The Freudenberg Group is a wholly-owned family enterprise.

 
September 2016 - Riken Elastomers Opens $22M Expansion

Riken Elastomers Corporation opens new $22M expansion.  The production facility added more than 81,000sf to its existing 88,000sf foot facility in Hopkinsville's Commerce Park. Riken Elastomers manufactures high-performance plastics compounds primarily used int he automotive industry.  Riken Elastomers will hire 27 new employees through this significant expansion.

 
September 2016 - Bed Wood and Parts invests $3.7M 

Bed Wood and Parts LLC, an automotive supplier of domestic and exotic wood bed kits for pickup trucks, plans a $3.7 million expansion of its operation in northern Christian County, Kentucky. The project is expected to create 42 full-time jobs.
